I brought my ford f250 into this shop for and A/C problem based on their TV commercial. I paid over $300+ for and 2nd level Diagnostic Test, the guy informed me that the part would be around $45 bucks and I would be ready to go. Next day no cold air. Made an appointment for the following week. The guy called me and said a/c compressor needs to be replaced with lines, $2300 more. I said the 1st diagnostic test didn't reveal this. I picked my truck up and took it to another place that charge me $200 bucks. And my air is colder than ever, without a new compressor and new lines. Thanks for nothing Auto Masters.
We are so sorry the electrical issue wasn't just an A/C relay as we had hoped. When a compressor is dying due to an electrical issues, it will fry the relay first. Your relay was damaged but the compressor was operational and producing very cold air when you left. Unfortunately, the compressor was on it's way out. The first test didn't reveal this because the compressor was working after the relay was replaced. Again, I am sorry this has happened. Hopefully, the electrical issue won't cause the repair from the other shop to fail similar to the relay we placed.
